Evaluations of own scientific effort

From the international evaluation of CID, carried out in March 2002 by experts appointed by Vinnova "Evaluation of the Competence Centre for User-Oriented Design, CID", March 29, 2003, page 6-7, concering the ITQ/UsersAward project in which Walldius worked on 80% basis between 1998 and 2002, the dominant workload of the researchers involved, (http://cid.nada.kth.se/sv/ CID%20Evaluation.pdf): "The work on Users Award is an innovative and exiting approach to improving peopleÕs awareness of the importance of users in IT. The project seeks to develop a certification procedure for IT that is influenced by the needs and demands of users. This form of certification procedure is likely to have a major influence in the use of IT in Sweden. It is a difficult task and CID is to be commended in engaging with such a strong national and international process.Ó(s 6-7)

From the corresponding international evaluation three years earlier, "Evaluation of the Centre for User-Oriented IT-Design, CID, March 7, 2000", concerning the CyberYard project which involved some 80 trade union members in the CyberYard community, and in which Walldius was the project leader: "The involvement of the trade union members in the design of 3D environments in Active Worlds is to be commended and the use of the design workshops to promote the cooperative involvement of users in world design is impressive."
